Contrast Therapy

Contrast Therapy

A cold-to-heat protocol combining CryoFloat and HaloRed Sauna for compounded physiological results

What is
Contrast Therapy?

Contrast Therapy is a structured, single-cycle protocol that enhances benefits and results. We begin with CryoFloat, followed by HaloRed Sauna to create a parasympathetic arc that integrates the cold stimulus. The effects of each technology are improved by the cold-to-hot experience.

BENEFITS OF CONTRAST THERAPY

Begin with a CryoFloat session before transitioning directly to the HaloRed Sauna for a holistic wellness experience.

FAQ

Questions and answers about Contrast Therapy

How does Contrast Therapy work?

The cold phase causes blood vessels to constrict. When this vasoconstriction is followed by a heat phase, it amplifies the post-cold rebound. The combined effect of the two modalities leads to accelerated lymphatic clearance, compounded anti-inflammatory response, immune stimulation, and amplified mood elevation.

How long does a Contrast Therapy session last?

The entire session lasts for 60 minutes. This includes a 3-5 minute CryoFloat session, 2-5 minutes of transition time, and a 30-45 minute HaloRed Sauna session. Consistent use improves results over time.

How can I prepare for Contrast Therapy?

We recommend wearing light, comfortable clothing that’s suitable for both modalities. (Your clothing will remain dry throughout your CryoFloat session.) Be sure to hydrate well before your session as both treatments increase fluid demand.

If you’ve never participated in contrast therapy before, you’ll also need to complete a standalone CryoFloat and a standalone HaloRed Sauna session first.

Who should not use Contrast Therapy?

You should always consult with your healthcare provider before beginning a new treatment or service. Contrast Therapy is not recommended for: Pregnancy Cardiovascular disease, heart conditions, or history of heart attack Uncontrolled hypertension Raynaud’s disease or severe cold sensitivity Active respiratory infection Fever or acute infection Known allergy to salt or iodine
